Evangelization at St. Thomas More

EvangelizationTo evangelize is simply to share good news, and at St. Thomas More we rejoice at every opportunity to share the Good News about Jesus Christ.  Yet as Catholics, we also remember that Jesus formed a Body of believers, his One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, from which thousands of denominations have sadly fractured over the centuries. On the eve of his death for the sake of the world, Jesus prayed that this Body would be perfectly united, so that the world may know of God's love.  So the unity of the Church is an evangelical imperative: Until the Church is again visibly and truly united,  the Gospel is compromised.

For this reason, our evangelical work at St. Thomas More has two thrusts: to share the Good News about Jesus with open-minded seekers of any background, be they skeptics, agnostics, or of other religions; and moreover, to work toward the unity for which Jesus prayed by reconciling our separated Christian brethren to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.  Given our background, we have a special place in our hearts for our Anglican brethren in particular, but we  welcome questions by those of any Protestant tradition open to learning about the Catholic faith.

The links above describe the resources we make available to people of all walks of life who want to know more about Jesus and the Catholic faith, as well as Apologetics resources to equip any Catholic to share the good news about Jesus and his Church with family, friends, and coworkers.  Finally, if you are a seeker, lapsed Catholic, Anglican, or other Protestant Christian with questions, please see our "Got Questions?" link in the right sidebar.
